At the same power, a 24V system draws half the current of a 12V system. That means thinner and cheaper cabling, lower resistive losses and less stress on inverters and controllers — which is why 24V is the standard for mid-size RVs and off-grid cabins.
Only if the manufacturer explicitly supports series connection and the BMS is rated for the resulting voltage. For a 24V system we recommend a native 24V pack so cell balancing and protection stay matched.
A 24V 100Ah pack stores about 2.56kWh. A small 12,000 BTU RV air conditioner draws roughly 1–1.5kW, so one pack gives about 1.5–2.5 hours of cooling. Most RV owners use two packs in parallel for overnight comfort.
